Dr Dimitri Tsakas

Dimitri provides counselling services for adults. People usually come to him during a transition, under sustained pressure, or when something that used to work has stopped working.

Common reasons people see him:

  • stress and burnout, including in frontline and helping roles

  • anxiety and low mood

  • grief and loss

  • trauma

  • anger, or reactions that feel out of proportion

  • change at work, at home or in a relationship

  • better self-awareness as a pathway to more effective Leadership

  • professional Supervision of Social Work Practitioners

  • training in the Human Services sector

His approach is practical and unhurried, built around the person rather than a method. You are not a case to be managed. The work is to see the situation clearly, understand your own part in it, and decide what you want to do next.

Almost forty years of practice sit behind this, including a hospital mental health unit and counselling with the Family Court of Australia. Sessions are available in English or Greek.
